Azul Kmiecik | Member-at-Large

Hailing from Madison, Wisconsin, Azul moved to the Twin Cities to work at Comunidades Latinas Unidos en Servicio (C.L.U.E.S.). Captivated by the many green spaces, radical arts and music scenes, bikeways, and queer community, Azul never quite managed to leave and now calls Minneapolis home. Over the years, Azul has held many jobs including cook, farmer, music store clerk, and community bike shop program coordinator. They currently work advocating for health equity and sustainable wellness practices in LGBTQ+ communities.

Marcela Michelle | Chair, Associate Producer

A Minneapolis based theatre maker originally from Texas, Marcela is a co-producer of Lightning Rod (now in its third year), QStage New Works Series (now in it's sixth), and of Body Fail Body, presented by The Guthrie Theatre in their Dowling Studio. She has performed with Mixed Blood Theater, Pangea World Theatre, Patrick's Cabaret, Queertopia, 20% Theatre Company, The Minnesota Museum of American Art, Pioneer Place Theater Company, Black Hearts Burlesque, The Minneapolis Burlesque Festival, Dykes Do Drag, Dragged Out, Gamut Gallery, and The Bisexual Organizing Project. She has curated for Mixed Blood, MBF, The Pink and White Ball. and 20%. She has choreographed Shakespeare for Mission Theatre Company as well as privately for international burlesque figures Nadine DuBois, Victoria DeVille, and Elektra Cute, and is the rehearsal director for 2018-2019 McKnight Fellow Taja Will. Marcela has hosted the Minneapolis Burlesque Festival, 20%'s Queer Prom, and was the resident FemmeCee of Daddy, voted best Twin Cities LGBTQIA event of 2018. Marcela is a teaching artist with The Walker Art Center. She can next be seen as the Narrator in Park Square Theatre's production of The Rocky Horror Show.

Mykel Pennington | Secretary

Mykel Pennington has been on the Board of 20% Theatre since 2009, serving on the executive committee as Interim Chair, Vice Chair and currently now Secretary. Mykel’s background is diverse and interesting, working in marketing at one of the largest performing arts organizations in Seattle – The Seattle Theatre Group, to scanning your Delta boarding pass as you board your flight to Paris. Mykel has also spent time teaching preschool, waiting tables, assisting executives in Fortune 50 companies and raising children.  Her passions are acting, throwing great parties, and creating intentional communities.

Track Trachtenberg | Member-at-Large

Track Trachtenberg is a youth worker, organizer, and facilitator passionate about convening equitable spaces and building healthy queer community. They wrote their senior thesis on queer and trans community-building and world-making in the Twin Cities, stumbled into radical art spaces in the process, and credit much of their personal and political development to those spaces and the organizers they met there. They currently work as the Trans Equity Project Coordinator for the City of Minneapolis and organize with Resource Generation and Jewish Community Action to resource and grow social movements for racial and economic justice.
