Brujería For Beginners es una obra/ofrenda de parte de Keila Anali Saucedo Martinez Corona. The play follows a family while grief is closing in around them. As they try to process their worlds, they explore catholicism, witchcraft, and indigenous spirituality to find their way to the holy. Guided by spirits, love for each other, and ancestors (always), they find their way to claiming power and possibility.
First shown as a one act play for as part of 20% Theatre Company’s 2019 Q-STAGE: New Works Series program, the story expands and invites the audience to enter the spiritual world that exists among us all.
Featuring performers Johanna Keller Flores, Gael Palen, Lelis Brito, Natalie Tran, Gregory Parks, Deanalís Resto, Quinn Williams, and Javari Horne.

COVID-19 Preparedness: All people affiliated with this production have been vaccinated against Covid-19, and actors will perform at a distance of at least 10' from the audience without masks. Audience members age 12.5+ must provide proof of vaccination against Covid-19 or a negative Covid-19 test within 72 hours of the performance, and all audience members will be required to wear a mask. Children younger than 12.5 will only be required to wear a mask. We are also currently only selling tickets up to 70% capacity to allow for some distancing. As always we are committed to following recommendations and guidance set forth by the CDC and MN Dept of Health, and promise to keep our audiences & artists informed of any changes to our health & safety protocols regarding this production.
